Hello family, how are you?
Well to stop mommy complaining and worrying, we don’t know if it’s broken. The bones are very sensitive and they will be doing a bone scan or something this Monday to find out. For the bone scan, they have to give me a shot in my arm (sick!) and then they scan my arm in a crazy machine. It going to take 3-4 hours and that’s all I know about the process. Then Wednesday morning I will be finding out the results. I will email you and let you know.
I got moves call again yesterday night. Sheppard will be moving and he is moving to the Bangor 2, the ward next to where I was trained. He is looking forward to being in the UK again, and using his native currency (the Pound). He is a little unsure of his companion, Elder Anderson, but he will do fine cuz he is a saint. I will be getting a new companion as well, his name is Elder Johnson. It’s not the same one I trained. His name is Bradley Chase Johnson, from Brigham City, Utah. He is a really good guy. I knew him when he was getting trained, and I really liked him then. I hope he has not changed too much.
The highlight of the week was by far Elder Bednar, of the 12 Apostles, was here in Ireland. I was able to attend 3 meetings with him speaking. He was never before one of my favorites but now is. It was great to see him talk multiple times in one week, because this way you get to see their personality shines through. We got to ask him questions, and he gave very powerful talks. I’m looking forward to conference this October, it should be really good. It will also be interesting to see what he says. This conference will be my third one. After that, I have one left and a week later I will be home, crazy huh?!
Well, the work this week is going great. We meet André and Cecilia yesterday for a short visit. André is now getting a new job. He will only have to work 1 Sunday a week, and it will be the same job as Cecilia. So they will be working together. They are very happy about it, and they have great faith and want to do what’s right. To make things even better, his job has a possibility of full time! This is better than his previous job. Cecilia already likes her job better. We are so happy for them.
Kevin Shannon, a member’s son, decided to go less active. However, he has found new respect for us and seems more willing to sit in the lesson with us. I’m really glad about that, because the Shannons are a really good family and care for Kevin a lot. He just wants to cause problems it seems. He met Elder Bednar twice, and his dad, Joe, said you can see Kevin felt the spirit and was a bit scared by it. So, we need to keep him feeling to spirit.
Well, I love you all and am very happy things are going so well for you all. I’m doing great and am happy here in Ireland. Things are really starting to look up. The improvements with André and Cecilia should allow them to be able to be baptized before I leave this area.
Love you all, hugs and kisses,
Brady
