To see some of Elder Hafen's pictures, we have created slideshows at the bottom of his blog. I wish we had more, but he doesn't take very many pictures of himself. So, we hope you enjoy them, and thank you for supporting him. Enjoy :)

Letter from Mission President

Letter from Mission President

Hi ya family

So, it has been a great week. Elder Johnson and I are really enjoying each other and have lots of fun. We hope to serve the next moves together as well.

Well, the wrist is broken. I just found out about an hour ago, and it’s already casted. It’s hasn’t even been an hour and I'm already trying to type. It’s not very easy as you can guess. So, it took them almost three weeks to know what I told them on the first day when I went in there. I wish I would have been going to Dr. Mortensen, he is the smart one. I have a blue cast on. I was thinking of getting an orange one for Halloween, but I thought a blue one is a more conservative color then orange. It’s great because now I can have all the Elders sign my cast. Amy can sign it as well once she comes to see me. I can’t wait for to come here.

Well, this past week we taught 15 lessons which is a big jump from 10. Elder Johnson and I are really excited about our companionship, and we want to stay together through the next moves. The only way President will allow that is if we teach big time and not let the area die down. I have been here 4 ½ months by the end of this move, which is ripe to move, but I want to stay so I can have 6 months here. The area is great and we teach great people. André and Cecilia are loving their new jobs, and Cecilia made it to church on Sunday. I was so excited. It was one of the greatest joys I have had one my mission. I felt like a dad watching his son score the winning touchdown. Everyone was there to talk to her, and she was so happy that she told André about it. André called us right after cuz he wanted to know all about it. It was amazing. Then Des was also at church, and he is so good. I love him to death. We taught him on Tuesday and it went very well. Elder Johnson and Des hit it off really well. So, once I do leave everything will be in good hands.

We have been doing a lot of less active work, and its going very well. We teach a less active family called the Addos. We have a great relationship with all the kids, and they can’t wait for us to come back. Even the mom likes us cuz we can help the kids with school work, and she can make dinner and relax. We also are trying to make better friends with the Wilson family. They have been hard to work with recently, but pray that we can visit and help them out. Also pray that they will be more excited about church.

Johnson is really cool. He is from Brigham City like I said. His dad is a rocket scientist for NASA, and his mom cuts hair. He has two brothers and a sister, all younger than him. He is very athletic. We really have lots of fun. Last night we decided to sleep in our attic just for fun cuz it’s so big. It was not the best because it got cold in the night. We still had fun.

Well, I’m out of time. If I missed anything you wanted, sorry. Tell me about it, and I will write it next week. I love you all.

Take care,

Brady
